Term 1 is fast becoming an action packed term for the kids at Cargo PS.
Since day 1, the children have been building their fitness levels by doing exercises first session of each day. This has resulted in improved stamina and endurance in each child.
We held a swimming carnival where the kids all participated in races and events. The biggest splash was the teacher & parent race. All the kids had a great day and actually overcame some of their fears. We had every family attend which was wonderful to see.
We are currently running a gymnastic program supporting fitness in the school and building up our core strength. The kids are loving the fun they can have with this, tumbling, balancing, stretching and rolling.
We are in the process of learning Athletics in preparation for the OSSA Athletics carnival to be held on Monday 27th March 2017. All the children have been learning the various sporting disciplines in order to qualify for the events.
This year the infants will not be attending on this day but will have their own later on.
