Our extra-curricular highlights
School Sports
Our students actively engage in a variety of school sports, athletics, and inter-school competitions, where they develop teamwork, skills, and sportsmanship. They proudly compete in OSSA carnivals such as swimming, cross country, and athletics, with many advancing over the years to district, western region, and even state-level events. In addition to these competitions, students enjoy a diverse range of weekly sports activities, including gymnastics, ten-pin bowling, cricket, football, and tennis. Thanks to our school bus, we travel to local venues to give students the best chance to try new sports, build skills, and stay active. These fun weekly sessions, combined with our carnival participation, help nurture confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong passion for healthy living and sport.
Creative and performing arts
At our small school, every student shines through a vibrant mix of creative and cultural experiences that make learning exciting and meaningful. We proudly celebrate NAIDOC Week with a rich program filled with art, cooking, dance, painting, and sports that honour Indigenous culture and inspire community spirit. Our students eagerly participate in OSSA Spec concerts, showcasing their musical talents and confidence on stage. Through our diverse arts programs—including drama, music, visual arts, and all types of texture arts—students have endless opportunities to express themselves, discover new skills, and enjoy performing in concerts, art shows, and engaging drama activities. Here, creativity and self-expression come alive every day!
Trips and excursions
Our students love stepping outside the classroom to explore, learn, and try new things. These hands-on experiences help them grow, build confidence, and understand how their learning connects to the wider world. With our own school bus, we regularly travel to exciting excursions such as sports and recreation camps, inter-school sport carnivals, and HPGE (High Potential and Gifted Education) days alongside other small schools. We also take part in cultural visits, environmental outings, and leadership workshops, giving students a wide range of opportunities to develop new skills, make friends, and enjoy learning beyond the classroom.
