Cargo school held a commemoration ceremony to celebrate Anzac day.
Staff & Students were fortunate to have Mr Mike Harrison from the Canowindra RSL Sub branch attend our school service and share some of his stories & knowlege with our children.
Mr Harrison was able to allow the children to look at his medals and those of his family.
He explained the various meaning behind the medal shapes, the ribbon colours and which side medals are to be worn.
Our children savoured the knowlege from Mr Harrison and we thank him for his incredible gift of time.
Mr Harrison also attended our local war memorial site in Cargo to help our leaders lay a wreath on behalf of the school.
